Centerpeak’s View from The Summit: How the Newly Merged Recruiting Firm Is Helping Elite Law Firms Attract Elite Talent

CenterPeak is a newly formed legal recruiting firm, born from the merger of Johnson Downie and Lippman Jungers, with the goal of becoming “the single most impactful legal recruiting firm in the world,” according to co-founder Mark Jungers. The firm, created by Sabina Lippman, Clint Johnson, and Jungers, combines top talent to serve elite law firms in the U.S., particularly those in the Am Law top 20. Together, they have opened over 40 offices and placed more than 2,000 law firm partners, focusing on building strong relationships and delivering best-in-class service. As Johnson explains, their compensation model “rewards collaboration,” ensuring that “when [clients] hire us, they get the full force of the firm rather than just an individual.”

“There has never been such a concentration of leading talent at any legal recruiting firm.”

With recent high-profile hires and an expansion into Washington, D.C., the firm plans to target other key markets such as Northern California, Chicago, and Boston. Johnson notes,“There has never been such a concentration of leading talent at any legal recruiting firm.” The partners are ambitious, with Jungers adding, “Like our clients, we are ambitious… our goal has always been to get to a point where clients come to us because they know we have the greatest chance of ensuring their success.”

Sabina Lippman echoes the enthusiasm noting, “We derive enormous satisfaction from our work. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our close partnerships with our most important clients have helped propel them into the top 20, and in some cases the top 10.”
