Before founding Jeffrey Lowe Partners in 2023, Jeffrey was the Global Practice Leader of Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Law Firm Practice Group for over a decade and was the Founder and Managing Partner of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office since its inception in 2003. He is also a prominent thought leader on partner compensation, and his insights are frequently cited in leading publications like The American Lawyer, The Wall Street Journal, Law360, and Bloomberg Law.
Jeffrey began his legal career as a corporate and finance associate in NY in 1989 before joining the Washington, D.C. office of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells) in 1991, and served as a corporate and securities partner from 1998 to 2003. From 1994 to 1995, Jeffrey practiced in Tokyo, Japan with Mori Sogo Law Offices (now Mori Hamada & Matsumoto), one of Japan’s leading international firms.
Jeffrey received his B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 1986. He received his J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 1989, where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the William & Mary Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Jeffrey resides in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Maribeth, who is a native Alexandrian and a graduate of the University of Virginia and William & Mary Law School. They have two adult children who live in Palo Alto and Boston.
